Chronicle Morvran

He's not a blond cheerleader played by Sarah Michelle Gellar, but don't let that dissuade you from choosing Chronicle: RuneScape Legends' newest playable legend. Morvran, The Slayer Master is the newest addition to Jagex's free-to-play collectible card game, and he's currently live across all servers.

Morvran boasts an "aggressive nature and array of violent monster cards," which make sense for a character purported to be a master slayer of dark and dangerous creatures. "Agressive" is a new keyword on monster cards, indicating that they attack first, making them much riskier than other monsters. You can unlock Morvran by beating a computer-controlled version of the Slayer Master.

In addition to the new legend, Update 1.4 brings 37 new cards to the game and introduces a card history tracker, giving you more information about recent plays. Jagex has also announced Chronicle's first event, the Beach Party, which will showcase three tropical environments and implement community quests that players work toward as a group, with rewards such as exclusive cards that players can get for participating. (A previous version of this story erroneously reported that the Beach Party was currently live.)

You can learn more about Morvran and his unique capabilities in the announcement on the Chronicle site.
