Remember when Daybreak Game Company was Sony Online Entertainment? With that break came Daybreak's opportunity to develop for other consoles besides the PlayStation, and that brings us to today's announcement -- on the fifth anniversary of DC Universe Online's launch -- that Daybreak's F2P superhero MMO would be coming to the Xbox One this spring.

In addition to the Xbox One news, Daybreak announced that cross-play functionality would be available for for PS4 and PC DCUO players the week of Jan. 25. The company also included a fancy infographic that dishes some impressive statistics on DCUO's five-year history. Over 35 million characters have been created, in a nearly two-to-one hero-to-villain ratio, and 476,122,117 total hours of gameplay have been logged. That's over 54,000 years, which is about how long Vandal Savage has been alive.

Episode 21 is also in the works, coming in February with new eight- and two-player operations inspired by the new TV series DC's Legends of Tomorrow. It also introduces the Atom and re-introduces Hawkgirl, Hawkman, Captain Cold, and Heat Wave.
