August just wasn’t meant to be for the Early Access Steam release of Drago Entertainment’s free to play sci-fi MMORPG, Otherland. Attributing the delay to the need to fix a few last minute items and to bring both a NA and an EU server online, Otherland will officially take to the Early Access waters on September 10th.

“After so many years in development, we figured a few more days could not hurt,” comments Lucjan Mikociak, CEO of DRAGO Entertainment, jokingly. “Seriously, though: we just need a bit more time to ensure a smooth Early Access launch, especially since we are now providing both US and EU based servers at launch – a feature requested many times by our growing community.”

You can check out the official announcement on the Otherland Steam page.

This is one I’ve been following through the entire development. I am very enthusiastic to see it come to a final release candidate. I’ve heard complaints with combat and some other technical details for the initial tests. The setting seems unique enough that I can deal with it but hopefully they will fix it up. I love TSW despite the lackluster game play due to the setting and plot lines behind it and this games universe truly sounds unique to me in a similar regard. I’m looking forward to getting my hands on beta access.

i dunno….i tried the alpha and combat needs some work i mean if it was released few years ago (as it was intended but was cancelled) then it would have been acceptable but now its just….eh.
