With all the recent news surrounding Perfect Worlds involvement with the popular MMO Neverwinter, it can be hard at times to remember there are a few other popular MMOs under the company's belt. Today, the most seasoned of these MMORPGs, Perfect World International, received its latest update, Rising Call.

The update's main theme is focused around revamping end game dungeons, adding new questlines, and expanding the PvP options for players. The later comes through improvements to the Nation Wars system. In an effort to reduce land locking one nation, Nation Wars now has 292 territories, with 10 territories attached to each Nation's HQ. The update also brought two new battle scenarios, Bridge Battle a 10v10 and Crystal Contest a 20v20. Both battlefields have players attempting to destroy and control various objectives for victory.

The Venomancer class also received some updates which added two new pets, a new evolution system and a class specific timed dungeon which rewards Feral Soul Stars.

There has been a lot of smaller additions included in this update too, so if you are interested in finding out more regarding Rising Call you can check out the official patch notes here.

I'm curious, do any of you still play PWI currently?

Wow another expansion for Perfect World? That's so swell..but the big question is : Does the industry even care? This game hasn't even been a blip on the radar for years.

well let them do what they want. things like fast food aren't any different. its not good for you at all and costs money, so many people know this and they still go to it. i'm not gonna hate on people who decide to play a pay 2 win. if they want that feeling of superiority i'm not going to join them in that though. it's more the fact that no one bothers to make a more engaging game.it is not just pwi in that regard it's just a bunch of poorly undercut developers who don't have the money to make a more engaging game or model. these games are basically the lower middle class of game development. it's kind of sad though, because i can see these developers making indie and mobile games and not just a copy paste wow clone, that style is so disengaging. i'm sorry to say but more of pwis games would be better if it were buy to play.like their torchlight series. sure you have to buy it upfront, but you get the overall quality. at the end of the day you get what you pay for.

Like Cacalips stated and there has not been any new's or updates or changes that has made anyone want to go back or even start fresh there are so many better games atm and PWI has offered us nothing that would entice players.

This game remains funded by a handful of addicted players (gambling like addicts). And funds from other games (like STO revenue). The game also gets profits from being invested in on the public trade market. The suckers that play it are suckers. This game has been around since 1995 and this is only its 4th or 5th update that just perpetuates the greed. The content is just a new grind and cash investment to make the addicts squirm.

Nope. Haven't for years. I tried it early when I was still fairly new to the mmo concept and while I was impressed then, I quickly learned what "grind" was and became both bored and disgusted in this game. Nowadays there are so many superior options--both graphically and economically, since this game has a reputation for attempting to rape your wallet at any given moment.

To be honest I'm surprised that anyone plays this thing at all anymore.
