Star Trek wouldn’t be Star Trek without some good ol’ time travel, and you’ll get more than your fair share of that in Agents of Yesterday, the third expansion for Star Trek Online, coming early next month.

Agents of Yesterday celebrates the 50th anniversary of the original Star Trek TV show, which aired its first episode on Sept. 8, 1966. As the captain of a starship from Jim Kirk’s time, you’ll be recruited as a Temporal Agent and embroiled in a plot that covers all sorts of different timelines and alternate realities.

Perfect World Entertainment is pulling out some big acting guns for the expansion, bringing on Walter Koenig (Chekhov), Chase Masterson (Leeta), Matt Winston (Daniels), and Chris Doohan, son of James Doohan (Scotty), to voice his father’s iconic role.

The expansion will go live last month — er, that is, July 6. Damn time travel, always so confusing…
