If the pictures accompanying the above Tweet are any indication, then yes, something big is in the works for World of Tanks. And it looks like a new game mode. But what exactly is it?

The fourth image, in particular, gives us an overhead view of a map that looks… well, a little MOBA-like. With two lanes and three objectives per lane, it’s not too much of a stretch to envision something along those lines, although there don’t seem to be any “towers,” in the traditional sense, and WoT has never had anything resembling minions. The wrench spots could be places where you somehow build a tower or other kind of defensive emplacement, or they could be repair stations.

In any case, I think it’s safe to say that whatever these images represent, they’ll be something completely different from what we’re used to in World of Tanks. What do you think they are?

“Also this shit is pay to win” nowadays everything is pay to win to everyone – oh the company has a way to make money? lets called pay to win.
Why dont you go work for free and see if you like it?
Besides i’ve been playing this game for years and I still dont see why people like you call it pay to win. It is grindy indeed but with the missions and specials they have if you devote the slightest effort in the game you can progress with ease.

Well, that is the fantasy marketed world you believe in. Reality is they usually have the game paid off 3 times over with IP contracts, marketing contracts and just signing up gives them publishing cash (they trade the web site hits and your info for cash). Any ways, last report showed MOBA earn more than any online gaming including MMORPG and the top sellers are skins…so P2W is WoT moto, and they abuse it. In fact, they OFFICIALLY said (in the update after 8.0) some time ago that they were going to to tweaks in a patch to “lessen the P2W”…passively admiting it was blocking the majority of players. It is a crap shoot game, and only fun is to not leave the first and second tiers. But that keeps map rotation limited to like 3 and it gets boring after a while and memorization of every rock…

” marketing contracts and just signing up gives them publishing cash (they trade the web site hits and your info for cash)” – Yes im aware of this but do you really believe that will be enough for covering everithing else?(salaries, server maintenance, marketing, etc)?

“Any ways, last report showed MOBA earn more than any online gaming including MMORPG and the top sellers are skins” -> LoL Player here , yep this is very true because people love to be able to personalize what they use so it is easy money and I would love to see WoT decrease the price on tank customization and I think it would be better for them, but as far as my time on WoT goes i still cant find the P2W on it.

“In fact, they OFFICIALLY said (in the update after 8.0) some time ago that they were going to to tweaks in a patch to “lessen the P2W -> I pay attention to their news and i dont remember this

“It is a crap shoot game, and only fun is to not leave the first and second tiers.” – > I disagree i personaly find it boring on thoes tiers.

Everyone is free to have their opinion, but as far as i’ve played this game, when compared to other games i’ve been through ( like PWI) this just doesn’t seem like P2W, both things you can buy for real money ( premium and gold rounds) just dont seem to fall on P2W. Premium account lessen’s the grind : True – and as I said on the comment before it IS a grindy game. But no other influence in-game other than that. Premium rounds are still subject to the game’s mechanics (you can bounce them, some with quite ease) and can also be bought with in-game credits.
No matter how much you spend on WoT it wont give you an unfair advantage like some other games do it, you wont get more camoflage, accuracy or other stats. Just an increase on Credits/XP and with gold rounds a better penetration ratio which wont help at all if you dont know where to shoot at.
I’ve never spent a single pennie in this game and I dont have any problems getting what i want in it.
