As to the F2P hall of fame. Runes of Magic should be a definite on the list. It was the first free from the ground up game to gain a big following in the West. At one time it was every where with adds in all the magazines and even a boxed version. The game is still going strong with 8 servers. And shouldn’t DDO, Lord of the Rings, Wizard 101, and Pirate !)! all be considered buy to play! Yes they are free intially but if you want to continue you need to pony up some cash.

Da-Bomb to Magicman and Mr. Winters, good reads and shows even if I don’t agree with everything you have to say.

as far as H1Z1 I would say no its not pay to win, with a 10% rate for weapons/amo and the fact that you can be killed and loose it or have it stolen evens it out, as always great show now just need to have a drinking game episode and throw a lil bacon in the mix =)

    Question of the Week:

H1Z1 air drops are pay to event. imo, that’s worse than p2w. imagine paying for rifts if RIFT. to me its the lowest of the low. the mechanic is fine. the rewards in it are fine. the excitement it adds is fine. them charging for it is SOE at its finest. I do think it was intended to be p2w and its release state wasn’t accidental. I think it was only changed due to the outcry. in its current form there is little reason to buy it without a group to help you get your loot, which begs the question ‘who design a cash shop item they don’t intend to sell?’ to me its paying for an event, that contains a lockbox, that can be stolen. I cant see how that in any way is good for gamers.
