En Masse Entertainment is celebrating the second anniversary of their MMORPG TERA: Rising with a new class known as the Reaper, which will be released this May 13th. Close to mid-ranged in her combative nature, the Reaper wields two heavy chain blades that promise to wreck the heavens.

Speaking on behalf of the anniversary celebration, En Masse Entertainment Executive Producer Brian Knox said “TERA: Rising continues to deliver the best action MMO experience to our growing legion of players. To mark the two-year milestone for our flagship game, we are going to expand TERA: Rising’s content by offering a brand new class—the reaper. This new class comes free and coupled with new content and activities that further enhance the world of TERA: Rising.”

Also in store for Tera fans through the month of May are reward boxes distributed to the players parcel, that contain level appropriate swag for reaching levels 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60. Reach those levels with ease sometime between May 2-13, as that will be your window of opportunity to gain Double XP! This does not include quest experience, but should prove itself beneficial nonetheless. As those interested in trying out the new Reaper class must have an existing level 40 character to qualify, this is also a good time to prepare for her release.

More news and info on Reaper and the two-year anniversary is available at the official website.

BEst game out there…Well was. Top notch graphics. Untouchable combat that every one envies. Story is there, but allot of haters took the hate train and said “Quests are bland” just to hate. Quests are pretty dynamic and there are several instanced cut scenes and quest story modes. And there are certain characters that appear in the city and push the story along and then dissapear based on the story progression…But, yes, there are some quest hubbed zones to pump the exp through. BUT to redeem itself, almost every quest hub breaks off into a “mini open dungeon”. Pirate caves, castles, etc.. Around level 40ish these open up and are dynmaic structures with bosses and non instnaced so you can meet up and beat up. Most people never mention this…they just hate.
THAT SAID. My end game character is parked there. I do not like the slow new content and the new dungeons that did get released are Alice in Wonderland themed. A turn off for me. What is next? Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory themes? Ughh. So I have nothing to do. Just wait for new stuff.

on top of that, the max character slots have increased to 13 and each player gets an extra free slot 🙂

That’s lovely. I was debating what poor class I was going to have to delete in order to fit in Reaper.

  11. LordHikaru on May 2, 2014

Unfortunately none of my characters are remotely close to 40 >_>.

    • Neshfi on May 2, 2014

Luckily getting to 40 is easy. Especially now that there’s a double EXP event. And lets not forget the 3 exp boost for an hour that you get around lvl 12 if I’m correct.

Just sign yourself up for dungeons and rush through those lvls with ease. If you think you got enough time on your hands, then just do some quests in between aswell.

    • Anon on May 2, 2014

I forget what early access capped at but I do believe I hit 40 on the first day of official launch…lol.

Tera is really nice for leveling. With the double exp event going on, I imagine hitting 40 could be achieved by playing casually for a few days.

Too bad this game is 48GB to download. No thanks.

    • boopity on May 2, 2014

It’s actually around 25GB finished and you can play while it downloads.
48GB is just the recommended space to have.

      • NopeItsShi*t on May 2, 2014

Mate, the game takes up to 50 GB, that’s why it’s recommended. +the game has a lot of bugs, lag and fps issues… FIX it!Then I’ll play it, like every other game, they just keep on adding and not fixing.

        • Cacalips on May 2, 2014

That is not the game. That is called “poor person PC”.
I have played in both US and EU and never had bug, lag of FPS issues. I even run on a near 8 year old laptop with i3 ATI RADEON HD 5470….and smooth as glass… Stop your dual core ACER integrated dial up PC gaming. biatch.

          • UrWrongNoob on May 3, 2014

It show that my 8 GB RAM, Quad-core, AMD FX-4100 3,60 GHz, GeForce GTX 5600 can run the game on the HIGHest settings with no problem(that’s EU) and when I enter a Battleground the game goes from 60 FPS to 5-10 FPS, too much FPS bugs etc. dunno what the fu-k you are talking about pussyboy… 🙂 oh and I have 250 GB memory total so 50 GB is np 🙂 just saying its too big and too many bugs and FPS issues… and im really sad i cant play because I really want to

        • Anon on May 2, 2014

You must run a tinfoil potato.
My friends laptop runs Tera and his specs are absolutely atrocious. Generic crap integrated graphics card, like 2gb of ram, etc. Runs the game flawlessly.

Also even if it was 50gb (it’s not, it’s about 25gb like boopity stated), that’s nothing. That’s a couple hours download on my meh internet and again, if you didn’t have a tinfoil potato, 50gb is absolutely nothing by todays HDD standards. 1TB HDDs are dirt cheap.

          • Neshfi on May 2, 2014

I agree with you Anon. I got a Gaming PC and a normal laptop for school purposes. Both of them run the game without a hitch. Space ain’t an issue these days aswell. If it is, then it might be a good idea to upgrade that fossilized pc.

About the game size. It’s 25GB (as stated by Anon and Boopity). Sure, downloading the game might take a while, but look at what you get in return. The game looks nice and the combat in Tera is just awesome, so it is worth it.

And for the ppl who still keep complaining. Go do something else 🙂 ….

P.S. yes there ARE lots of FPS issues 🙂

It’s not even available in Asia ffs

      • Neshfi on May 2, 2014

        Well, can’t really blame them.

“En Masse will block IPs based on region. Asia, Africa, Russia, and the Middle East are included on the block list. While we appreciate that there are players in these regions who would enjoy playing on En Masse servers, it’s unfortunate that the vast majority of Internet traffic we see from these regions are from cyber-criminals relating to account theft, gold-farming and other hacking behavior.”
