  1. Frequently asked question: “wre is tha downldz linka?”

    1. You are retarded. It is a fact.
    2. Reading is a skill. Learn it, and fast.
    3. This is not a warez site. Go elsewhere to indulge your poverty of common sense.
    4. Once you have learnt to successfully read 3 consecutive words without losing focus, you will realise that these are free ALTERNATIVES to Halo 4.
    5. I gracefully capitalised the word alternatives above.

  2. Hi, i feel that i noticed you visited my website so i came to return the choose?.I’m attempting to find things to enhance my website!I suppose its good enough to make use of a few of your concepts!!

  3. People are petty and simple. The name of the show is clever and fitting. Please note that there are people out there that not only understand the idea behind the show but also apriciate it. If it is up for a vote, that i give my vote for not changing the name.

    Monkee Out

  4. Great show MMOBomb as always, but I’m quite disappointed in all the babies we have in the room. The games you expected to be on the list weren’t there? Q.Q Make your own list and get your own show. Stop bitching like little ungrateful snots.

  5. Is there any planetside 2 similar game? With huge bosses that you have to kill hitting the weak spots, and offcourse with some coop? Something like that?

    • I don’t know of any f2p titles that are similar, but there is a b2p title called defiance that is coming out in april that is as close as you can get.

  6. I never seen so many negative comments to a video, I looked at the other cloneattack , Magicman never recieved this much negativity.

    – Just Speechless –

    • Spunkify picked a unique franchise with really no free to play alternatives. There aren’t even may in the paid category, either. And, on top of all of that, Halo is an itch that cannot be scratched by any other game.
I don’t think Spunk deserves the hate he’s getting for it. But I do believe he could have picked his starting game & clones more wisely.

      • Nope it happens , And he will learn fast enough on doing his homework in the future , This is a big jump for a guy that has only done first look video’s here and the other site.
( Atleast thats all i know of him)

Honestly though , my opinion, I never been a fan of his , since coming here i have not watched 1 of his video’s. His first looks from when i first seen him on the other site ..to many high pitched screams for my liking..But hey thats just me and that’s just his style !

I wish him the best but again not for me.

I never even watched the video , Just scanned through all the bad comment’s.. I feel for him though , I truely do.

    • Oh I’ve received my fair share of negativity over my own opinions some times. ๐Ÿ™‚

I think Spunkify did fine, for those that understand what the show does, they got the point (even if they maybe wanted to see a different title here and there).

For those that are confused a bit, I can even see their point and a show name change may be in order just to clarify the concept.

    • BL is P2W BS and has been dying slowly.
Tribes is Garbage and the developers are the same that left Global Agenda to rot in hacker land, while they just work on other stupid projects for a quick cash grab. TRIBES also has moved to AERIA games…GAME OVER.
PlanetSide2 is a situational crap combat game that requires no strategy or skill. Just show up and cap a base. Rinse and repeat. OVer it in a month.
Firefall had to be redone 2 times over and cant launch a single full open beta. The PVE is lack luster and PvP gets old after a bit. Another large potential down the drain due to financial set up.
Hawken is pure garbage. CLunky, P2W garbage.
      – I would prefer to play Halo 1 and Halo 2 ANY DAY over these titles.

  7. This is so out of touch with everything logical… First we start the video saying “we are going to talk about Halo4,,,Halo4 is NEVER mentioned, directly after he points out a small Halo history and the fact it never came out for PC after the second…and then he moves on… All he did was cover all the future themed F2P-FPS… How is that in relation to HALO 4???? Why HALO4 and not the other 1-3? What was the difference? How are these other games similar? YOu do not even touch on that, you just re-hihglight the other FPS titles key points… I am so confused as why this video even exists and why I feel dumber for watching it:
    1) TRIBES is out before HALO 4 with a longer and richer history. This is NO WAY should ever by compared to HALO, but should be compared to it’s own franchise, especially things like the grappeling hook and match modes etc. Halo 4 pulls nothing out of this. You will never feel like you are playing Halo 4 on this game.
    – Are you just looking around the futur FPS room and pulling any ame that has a metal suit for armor??? and making the direct comparison that it is a HALO like game??? –
    2) Blacklight: “like halo, black light has a variety of weapons”…no…no..NO! Halo had weapon class based weapons interchangable that made it feel exciting to test out each weapon. Even if it was not a BIG SELECTION in Halo, it was DIVERSE enough to be engaing. Needler and sniper rifle…all you need to know… OR charge blast and pistol (drop shield and take out enemy fast)…Black light has a basic base for guns, and then allows customization to each part of the gun. HALO never did this…This is not the same feel as you get in HALO. This is Black light, and has NOTHING TO DO WITH HALO. WTF drugs did mmobomb slip in your soda?

    3) PLanet Side 2; Yes, the purple metalic skins and some other elements, like speed of combat, and vehicles tossed in a map, are a little closer feeling to HALO franchise than the other games, but then after that it does not hold water. HALO assumes an identiry as Master chef in small matches. PLanet side two, your character is fodder and holds no “this is me in an epic suit so I am epic warrior” feel. It is situational combat of “ok, me and 500 people just logged in at this point, lets see if we can cap and hold nad rinse and repeat this strategy”. SO visually, you almost have a Halo game, but ALL OTHER features NO! Halo has a huge alien influence as well, this is well known to be a war fighter. Planet Side 2 has more in common with World War 2 online than HALO…dafuq

    4) Firefall; The fact hulans vs bugs is sort of like MAsterchef vs aliens kind of gets closer…but after that there is NOTHING like HALO in this game…

5)Hawken???? *SLAP YOU UP SIDE THE HEAD*

SIGH… I cant start my morning like this. This is to horrible. I was a bug fan of HAlo 1 and created my first website to host my daily scores and rounds achievements. I liked both PC and xobox version. I then was a huge fan of the second, and got so many people playing it. It was the first game that my college roommates all got into with 0 video game knowledge. I even had 4 chicks get into both the single and muktiplayer aspect because they thought it was fun. We replayed it durring dirnking nights with the guys. I even had a friend build a custom made house with the second story filled with electric plugs to host HAlo parties (and seperate little rooms to hook up other tvs and xoboxs to hide each others character from eye wondering screen peeks LOL). The third installment was kind of a let down as far as multiplayer. Things got super recycled and combat got wonky. So many times we found our selves just dancing around each other on a snowy hill…or forced into zergy hall ways, and our favorite weapons ecycled and nerfed and just bleh. Cant say allot about the 4th installment. What I can say, NONE OF THESE F2P games will ever give you a HALO expereince. MAybe Aliens Vs predator experience etc..but they are their own thing. EVen Tribes feels nothing like the old Tribes franchise…
The one and ony thing in common is that they are not wearing world war 2 clothing and it is based “in the future”…ok…why not Brick Force then? YOu can remake a halo map using Brick force….oh no….because it is not HALO…and niether are any of these games *face palm*

  8. so much anger in these comments just worship the all mighty toaster and everything with be fine(PS. just kidding because one of you will think im being serious)

    • Expect microsoft to get it shutdown.I checked the site out and while I’m all for fans taking the initiative. The description alone has several copyright violations. And unfortunately MS is not know for being friendly towards user created anything. They are even more ruthless about things remotely close to their IPs.Bungie’s greatest mistake was not keeping full rights to the ip.Which is a shame cause let’s face it most Halo fans would love to see a well made Halo mmo.

  9. i cant say much since i never actually played hello for the “options” or as u guys call them “copies” of halo but what i can say is that all of those games are really good shooter idk if better or worse than halo but ik the options mentioned here are good and as far as the “omg these games have nothing to do with halo” well maybe ur right but if u so “pationate” about halo just buy halo or if u bought it already just play it again and finish it 10 times or whatever

With that said i would like to say to you spunk good job bro i apreciate you actually sat 1,2,3,4,5 hours to actually give your suggestions to people who actually think about this and not just complain about your opinion

Theres always people who will like and dislike something its cool nothing can be done about it hopefully all people dont like the same thing

    Great job and keep going

    • The following is completely irrelevant:
I love ZhaoYun’s Samurai Warriors equivalent :Yukimura Sanada
      Warriors Orochi 3 FTW. lol

      • hahahaha ya for me yukimura>zhao in samurai warriors but i love him in dw i am going to buy soon OW 3 and DW 8 but when i can afford it economicly

Its good to see people like you(who love dw,sw,ow like me)here and in the bomblive streams every week ๐Ÿ™‚

        • I agree, really love warriors orochi and the dynasty warriors games on ps2 but haven’t played any of the current gen ones. Last one I got was on the psp. And while unrelated other than somewhat similar in combat style I loved monster hunter also.

  10. Even if Halo was ported to PC, I wouldn’t buy it. I’d rather play any of these F2P titles and all that they offer than pay $60 for Halo.

    • Don’t be so quick to judge a game based on the fact that it’s monetized. Some of these games are well worth the 60 bucks. Yeah they are pricey, but with the changes in the industry, you gotta have some way of making a profit. In fact, 60 bucks is a surprisingly low price to pay considering the amount of money that goes into these titles. As it stands, most devs make a fairly mid-low salary range, if that increased, you could arguably assume that games could spike up to prices ranging from 80-150 dollars, and that’s just for the game content!

Moral of the story: be thankful that devs make sacrifices to create awesome content and don’t be afraid to spend a little to thank them in some manner. Free to play games are even worse off in that regard because the devs go through a lot more risk. If not enough people pay for their cash shop or sub option, the game could quite easily shut down and the people behind it could easily lose their jobs and suffer from a bad portfolio because let’s face it, if you ran a publishing company and a dev, with a failing project on their track record, comes along, you’re probably going to lean on “no” regardless of how creative or innovative their next project is. Sucks but, that’s business.

      • Not meaning to assume you don’t pay for content at all, it’s just a behavior I noticed pretty prominently in the community. The “It’s free so I WON’T pay” mentality. if you do pay for stuff, good on ya, if you don’t, well, that’s you’re choice.

      • I think he was making a statement about the game itself than the price tag. I’d rather have an enema with a broken bottle than pay for the latest installment in a franchise that has run it’s course ages ago. Likewise for F2P games that expect me to pay inflated amounts of money to stay competitive.

  11. The only one that is relatively similar to Halo that you mentioned was Tribes… And, at that, Quake Live, Marathon, Warsow, or similar arena shooters would have been better choices. =|

Other than the Marathon Trilogy (which was by Bungie, themselves), I don’t think anything in the Free2Play universe will truly offer a Halo-like experience. It really is a unique experience in both gameplay and storytelling. Not only that, but multiplayer is so customizable that almost every detail can be tweaked and molded to exactly how you want to play. I mean, really, theres an entire professional gaming league that’s sprung up around a small joke made in one Red Vs. Blue episode.

I love Halo, and honestly I’d love to see a free to play clone, but I don’t think anything can really capture the Halo experience. F2P developers and producers don’t have the time, money, or the love for their projects to do it.

    • Halo and Tribes look similar but the feel of the gameplay is totally different. Tribes is about Speed. First tribes with jetpacks came out in 1998 First HALO with jetpack was in the Halo:Reach as far as i remember which was released in 2010.

  12. Nice video man ! I’m liking the concept of the CloneAttack series ๐Ÿ˜€

And to those complaining that these games are not clones … Spunkify clearly states at the beginning of the video that the games featured are not replicas but will have the same feel/certain features in common with the game ๐Ÿ˜‰

    • The problem with that logic is that they HAVE ZERO FEEL OF ANY OF THE HALO FRNACHISE games. THERE IS NO FEATURE THAT IS THE SAME! Dropped on head as a baby? If you are comparing the fact that they all use guns…then why not just cover every FPS ever made? DERP more DERpenstien.

      • Yeah except for the fact that the tribes franchise is the inspiration that brought halo into existence… So much bitching in these comments and not one of them is rational. Let’s see, tribes more or less inspired halo, planetside 2 is mentioned for futuristic team based warfare which is the only really fun gameplay in any of halos online modes, blacklight is mentioned for the skirmishes and use of tech to form on the fly strategies which is similar to halo matches and firefall is one of the few mmofps to feature a good campaign mode for solo or coop play which is what i dived into first with all of the halo games. Sadly I do see where some of you are coming from with the fact that all these games only feature one or two elements of halo but that’s just it, if you want the experience in a free game you’ll have to settle for playing multiple games for each part of it since none so far bundle everything together other than tribes and people are turned off of it because of the physics based gameplay and learning curve to become good at it.

        • On a side note I am a little shocked that warframe wasn’t mentioned for the coop similarities. And also I would rather see a mmo variation of left for dead come along than another halo like game but that’s just me.

  13. Are you serious? Blacklight is NOTHING like halo, are you insane?! AND PLANETSIDE 2!!!!!!!!????? You didn’t mention that FreeFall, but you mentioned Planetside 2 as a Halo clone?! I. Am. Speechless.

    • Those games are just suggestions, free to play alternatives… NOT CLONES… We mentioned that in the video… So please just stop, your comment makes no sense.

      • you did name it cloneattack, its understandable for people to question your choices of “clones” in a episode of “cloneattack”

          • Just what was the intention behind naming it “CloneAttack”? It would’ve made perfect sense if you guys picked CounterStrike or Call of Duty or World of Warcraft, but your choice of topics so far have been nothing short of mind boggling.

      • They are suggestions for anyone that wants a F2P halo, not just a futuristic game. 90% of the games mentioned have nothing to do with halo.

        • Ok why don’t you name some F2P FPS titles that are remotely close to a futuristic shooter like Halo. If you came to this video to see some magically Halo clone magically appearing in the F2P world, you’re going to be bound for disappointment.

Honestly, I think these are sound alternatives to the game. Mind you, none of them have all of the features of Halo in one, but they all do serve some kind of purpose.

Anyway, long story short, if you don’t like what Spunkify had to say, then go and buy Halo 4 and stop complaining.

          • It would make more sense to put in freefall, quake live, renaissance heroes ( even if it’s not sy fy) but backlight retribution? Planetside 2? I dont want to be mean to mmobomb, I love the website, but all I’m trying to say is that someone who’s looking for a free to play halo will not be pleased with a games like blacklight or planetside 2.

      • MMOBOMB-“We take a look at what features make Halo 4 so fun and take a look at some free to play options that give players the same type of meaty gun-play found in both cooperative campaigns and competitive environments players have come to expect from the Halo franchise.” not one of them have the same feel in anyway as Halo 4 I have played all the Halo games .. and every one of the f2p fps you have in this video … other then there both fps and scifi not a one is a good alternatives for someone looking for a pc Halo like gameplay … your going to have to play halo for that …. other then that there all good games in there own right … MMOBOMB- “If you have any free to play game recommendations that Halo 4 players may enjoy” most Halo 4 players would not enjoy F2P fps … well ok the big Halo fans anyway as not one F2P FPS has the quality Halo has. …. Ok I am wrong in one way this video would have been better as a alternatives to ODST …… IMO
