Based on the best-selling novels by Tad Williams, Otherland is a futuristic MMORPG set in a virtual multiverse where just about anything is possible. Originally announced in 2011 under the auspices of RealU and Gamigo, the resurrected Otherland is being created by Drago Entertainment and looks to preserve the spirit of its predecessor and source material.

Players will embark on an epic quest through virtual reality worlds, wielding fantastic powers in action-based combat. Housing will play a key part in the game, with each players virtual “U|Space” being a major source of crafting materials and a focus of high-end PvP. Players will be able to place defenses around their U|Space to defend it from attack and customize its look to suit any visual aesthetic.

The game is still going but only a shadow of its former self. many reviews for it on steam sadly mostly negative after its more recent patch. Many are sadly calling it a cash grab game now which is sad since I had high hopes for this game.

This site lets u download the game from here but won’t tell the minimum PC requirements ?! That’s dumb .

So, I clicked on the Beta signup link on the “Otherland” website, and my anti-virus software blocked it as a possible phishing site. I realize that may not mean anything, but it seems kind of sloppy anyway.

The Gamigo version was scrapped, but Drago Entertainment picked it up, and are slowly going on with it. Hopefully one day, perhaps this year, we will see an OB. It seems last CB phase ended at the end of march.
