BlizzCon 2013: Hearthstone Open Beta in December, Phone Versions in 2014

While the focus is undeniably on World of Warcraft and the just-announced Warlords of Draenor expansion, Blizzard revealed plenty of juicy details regarding its free-to-play properties in their keynote speech to kick off BlizzCon.

If you still don’t have a key for Hearthstone, you won’t have too much longer to wait. The online TCG will be going into open beta in December — or maybe January, in BlizzTime. Definitely Soon(TM).

Also, if you want to get your card-gaming fix on the go, you’ll be able to play Hearthstone on iOS and Android phones/tablets in the second half of 2014. A few new animations for characters are also in the works, letting you lay the smackdown on your hapless opponents in style.

Stay tuned right here to where we’ll keep you updated on any other exciting Free-to-Play developements over BlizzCon weekend!

    • It’s not a TCG, it’s a shallow, pay to win, CCG with severe balance issues. Just head over to the hearthstone forums if you want to know more.

      • That is not true, it is not pay to win, yes you can buy cards but that doesn’t make you better than anyone else, have cards doesn’t mean you instantly win, you can’t buy wins.

      • hahaha man im already playing heartstone (cuz i got diablo3) at now isnt pay2win is pay2dont waste a bit of time (we have to see lather). game is very interesting i reccomend every1 that has a blizzard game (not pirate) give a try.
