EverQuest Announces Opening Date Of Second 2026 Time-Locked Expansion Server
The server will have Personal Loot on it.

Earlier this week, the latest EverQuest Producer’s Letter was shared on the MMORPG’s site. As with most of these letters, it discussed the success of a previous endeavor (in this case the launch of the Frostrever Time-Locked Progression server as well as a recent server merge and other topics.
The letter then went on to discuss things player can expect in the near future. This included an announcement that they will be posting the incentives for participating in Extra Life soon. It seems that one of them will be a blue pupper. Also coming soon is an update to the Hero’s Journey Achievements to make the quests more “group-friendly”. It seems that tasks took longer as a group than they did for solo players due to the looting system. Going forward, loot drops will be scaled to group size. So things should go more quickly.
And then there’s the announcement of the second Time-Locked Expansion server of 2026, named “Lethar”. This one will open on August 26 at 12:00 pm Pacific and have Personal Loot, which is intended to encourage players to work together by eliminating concern over who gets what item.. It will open with all expansions through The Serpent’s spine.
