Gamescom 2026: Grinding Gear Games Announces Path Of Exile 2 Full 1.0 Release
Prepare yourselves Early Access players. Towns are gonna get crowded.

Sometimes, it can be a little difficult to not think of Grinding Gear Game’s ARPG Path of Exile 2 as already having launched. After all, players have been in the game for a while and we’ve been through a few seasons. But, of course, that’s all paid Early Access and the free-to-play flood gates haven’t opened yet. In fact, until today, we didn’t know when those gates would be unlocked.
During ONL, GGG shared a new trailer for the game revealing that full release will drop on December 11. When the 1.0 update drops, players will be able to hop in and begin their journey as free-to-play players. At the same time the new sword-focused melee class, the Duelist, will become available, as will more campaign Acts.
Ahead of launch, players – including those in Early Access – are encouraged to register on the Path of Exile 2 site in order to receive updates. Of course, the main reason you’ll want to is that there are milestone rewards to be had.
