Genshin Impact And Cruchyroll Team Up To Celebrate The Version 7.0 Update

Okay Genshin Impact fans. It’s time for a bit of FOMO. No, we’re not talking about another event quest containing lore about characters that will just pop up for you later on acting like they know you while having a major impact on the story.

Instead, it’s a crossover event with Crunchyroll. No, it’s not related to the Genshin anime – at least, I don’t think it is. Rather, it’s to celebrate the launch of 7.0 and our journey finally taking us to Snezhnaya. Here’s the way it works. Players of the free-to-ploy action RPG who also have a Crunchyroll account will be able to claim special rewards between August 12 and September 22 (which sounds like the entire run between the launch of 7.0 and 7.1) by logging into their Crunchroll account and claiming reward codes. The rewards include a new gadget pet (the little guy in the image above).

Here’s the catch. This doesn’t work if you’re on a free trial. So, you will need to be subbed during that time. The good news is that if you don’t have an account, you can start one between now and when the collaboration ends and receive your rewards.
