Get The Cyberpunk Experience, Complete With Cyberpsychosis, In Apex Legends’ Next Crossover Event
Cyberware mods, a Night City take on E-District, and several skins are all part of the event.

As the Edgerunners event is coming to an end in Wuthering Waves, it looks like it’s Apex Legends’ turn to spend some time in a neon dystopia. Today, EA and Respawn announced the Apex Legends X Cyberpunk event that will bring a taste of Night City and the people who live there to the free-to-play team shooter. That probably means Apex Legends should prepare for an influx of new players who just happen to be fans of CD Projeckt Red’s Cyberpunk franchise, and the Edgerunners anime in particular.
Despite the press release not mentioning Edgerunners outright, it’s pretty obvious players will see characters from the show – at least in the form of skins. In fact, there will be eight new Cyberpunk themed skins introduced as part of the event, a different one for each of the following Legends: Axle, Sparrow, Lifeline, Crypto, Rampart, Loba, Ash, and Gibraltar. There will also be eight weapon skins.
During the event, players will have the chance to explore a new E-District map where everything has taken on a Night city feel. That includes the holographic koi, glitched signs, and more.
Gameplay-wise, two Cyberware mods are being introduced, the Sandevistan and Blackwall Breach. As expected, the former offers a speed boost, granting dashes in any direction. The latter allows players to phases players into the Net and releases an EMP as they return.
As mentioned in the title, Cyberpsychosis is a thing in this event. As players use either of these mods, they’ll fill their Cyberware Capacity. Once it gets too full, they’ll go Cyberpsycho, increasing movement speed and melee damage. The downside is they’ll have no weapons, abilities, or shields. So they’ll be dangerous but out of control. Players can try to keep everything under control, or use Syringes or Immunoblocker Caches found around the map to reverse it.
The Apex Legends X Cyberpunk event will drop on all platforms on July 14.
