PvEvP Survival Shooter Scavengers Running Technical Playtest This Weekend
There's another playtest coming up this week for free-to-play survival MMO Scavengers, and its developers want you to join in all the snowy, murderous fun. Technically, it's being labeled a "PC Technical Playtest," which probably means it will have more issues than usual, but that's the point of testing, after all.
As you might recall, Scavengers is being described as a "PvEvP sandbox shooter" -- though maybe "snowbox" would be a more apt description. Players form teams of three unique hunters on a post-apocalyptic snowball Earth (an asteroid shattered the Moon!) to take on other teams and dangers such as mutated beasts and the environment itself.
Features added since the last playtest in September include better progression, a new Research system for unlocking gear, and the usual assortment of bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements. Notably, time-to-kill was reduced, because the world wasn't dangerous enough, right?
The Technical Playtest runs from Thursday, Nov. 5 at 10 a.m Pacific until Sunday, Nov. 8 at 6 p.m. Pacific. You can learn more about the game and sign up for the playtest on the Scavengers site.
