The Changes Keep Coming To RuneScape. This Time It’s Player Housing
More customization options, a higher level skill cap, and more.
Jagex is still busy future-proofing its long running free-to-play MMORPG RuneScape. And it seems they will be for a while longer. That said, they’ve definitely been making progress and the latest post on the game’s site is proof of that.
The post, simply titled “The Road Ahead…” features a video (embedded below) and some roadmaps – one for the month of July and the “Road to Restoration” roadmap. The highlight of the July roadmap is the new player-owned housing rework, which introduces a lot of customization. It also overhauls skills related to housing and increases the level cap to 120. Players only have to wait until next week to get their hands on it.
Also discussed in the video is the new Leagues, Leagues II: Equilibrium which will include new region locking mechanics, combat blessings, relics, and more auto-completed quests. Players can expect this on August 10.
Finally, according to the roadmap, players can expect Havenythe Part 2 in September and RuneFest in October. More details on all of these will be shared as we get closer to them.
