Okay, this is pretty neat. New zones are added to MMORPGs often enough, but they aren’t typically designed by one of the game’s players. So, it’s pretty cool that the island of Wyrmscraig, created by player ScreteMonge (or Gnome) is now available in Old School RuneScape.

The island was one of more than 1,000 submissions to the community Player-Designed Island Competition held earlier this year. It’s now located somewhere across the south-west sea of Gielinor and is known locally as Cuil An Domainh. It featureds mountain terrain with aggressive wildlife. The player’s first introduction to the island will be a village known as Auchrie. From there, they’ll be able to explore and take on the new quest and learn about a guardian kown as The Mad Angel. The island also features a new Slayer Master an introduces two new activities: Golem Crafting and Goat Hunting.

The island is available to players as of today.
