RuneScape Housing Launch

As promised, the latest RuneScape update is now live an fans of the free-to-play MMORPG now have some pretty fancy housing to play with. This is the latest step in Jagex’s “Road to Restoration” project which is both future-proofing the game and bringing back the things players loved about the game in the first place.

The Player-Owned Housing update increases the Construction skill to 120 and grants access to “hundreds” of customization options. That includes more than 650 decorative items, five house styles, flexible layouts with free furniture placement, and more. That means the biggest limitation players should face in designing their dream home is their own imagination. After all, even the weather around your house is controllable – provided you have a Weather Vane.

If the whole thing sounds like a lot to take on, the good news is that you don’t have to do it alone. Up to five players can create a Homestead with each of their own homes in it and share various facilities.

The update also introduces the Museum of Achievement, where players can show off their achievements. Players are now also able to create their own travel hub for their rune-based teleports using the Teleport Nexus.
