Torchlight: Infinite Introduces New Hardcore Server
The update introduces new game mechanics design and brings back some from prior seasons.
Today, XD Games dropped a new hardcore server in Torchlight: Infinite. The Unbound server brings back mechanics from the free-to-play ARPG's previous seasons. It also introduces a couple of changes to overall gameplay. The new changes are Unbound – Move to Cast which fires the players’ Main Skill as they move, and Unshackled Destiny which removes the limits on Destiny Installs. The results of each are that players can move quickly through the map and have more freedom in customizing builds.
In addition, The Unbound introduces five new Compasses, each with their own benefits. For instance, Unbound Arcana Compass boosts the player’s chance of encountering a Tarot Trial after killing a boss in Arcana. Or, Unbound Lunaria Compass guarantees players in Lunaria will summon a Scarlet Moon Incantation boss encounter. Each of the Compasses are available for free.
Players who are interested in checking out The Unbound should do it while it’s available on the Hardcore server, as the press release notes that there is no guarantee it will be introduced on the live server. More details on The Unbound can be found in the preview video below.
