  1. Ohl I haven’t lol since my trip to the hospital heeeeeee! Yes this old lady is now doing welling again. Great show u’ll & this week’s ?, I have several … Perfect World, Aeria Games,Raidz I’m looking forward to . Keep up the grand work again . ๐Ÿ˜‰

  2. For the question of the week: My favorite F2P company is Wargaming Net because World of Tanks is the game that hooked me on for 2 years so far and I still play it today. I play LoL too but I am no pro. Time to time I go for a spin in Runes of Magic just because I need to play some RPG, not that I prefer
Dungeon Siege 2 but still… I forgot: the F2P grabbed me with a game called Lineage II back in 2004. Why I say it was so? Simple – we in Bulgaria are poor people and do not spend our money like in the West, so we used private offline servers to play the game. At that time Internet was still a luxurious product of modern times.
P.S.: I still don’t get it why you never observed WoT in a show, but that is just me. ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. For the question of the week: My favorite F2P company is Nexon because Maple Story was the game that got me hooked on free to play games years ago and I still play it today also Dragon’s Nest is my favorite free to play game.

Switching up from my usual repertoire, I wish to add something actually informative to this post. Being a comic book fan, having the option of only choosing existing characters in MARVEL HEROES is nothing new to me. Its their way of brand-naming. This is evident in their first foray into role-playing games: the 1991 pen-and-paper RPG (some of your younger viewers are probably scratcing their heads about now) entitled MARVEL SUPERHEROES designed by Jeff Grubb and published by TSR (defunct publisher of “Dungeons and Dragons” which was bought by Wizards of the Coast). Marvel’s higher-ups basically told the designer to focus on their own characters and forego custom character creation (he didn’t and added a small character creation process at the end of the book). It wasn’t until the advanced set that character creation was fully fleshed out. As far as the “Diablo-esque” MMO, it had been done already. It was called MARVEL: ULTIMATE ALLIANCE (I’m surprised none of you mentioned that). Although I like dungeon-crawlers (great mix of real time combat and RPG leveling), I find it ironic how “iconic” DC (depending on who you talk to *cough*Nu52*cough* *cough*Alan Grant*cough*) is more custom character-friendly than Marvel. IMHO this is definitely an AVENGERS moneygrab. Well, that’s it for the history lesson. As always, great show and keep up the good work!

    • Hi!
GREAT INFO! I actually didn’t bring up Marvel Ultimate Alliance or Freedom Force for two reasons: 1) They are buy to play and 2) Even though they are basically Diablo clones, they didn’t go out of the way to market themselves that way. This Marvel game actually says they took Diablo right on their site. I get that they were also trying to make a point out of having an original Diablo creator on the team but I just thought it was silly advertising. If an MMORPG said right on their site that they were WoW with some extra feature we would laugh at them…that’s basically what happened here.

You ROCK and your info is TOP NOTCH!
      Thanks for watching my friend!

  6. Hi
I have to say my favourite company is gameforge because they have a lot of good games as there are Air Rivals (Ace Online) Aion and the game i love the most: Ogame (good old classics).

  7. For the Question of the Week for next episode, I’m actually going to have to go with Perfect World Entertainment. After the whole Flagship Studio debacle and collapse, when the newly formed Runic Games was looking for a publisher, PWE was there and has been rather hands off with their development, letting Runic make 2 single-player games(the second one having co-op multiplayer) and not forcing them to rush the Torchlight MMO. They’re also getting a nice diverse library of games, not even including what they picked up from Cryptic Studios. As for the “pay-to-win”ness of their games, I found that since most of the cash shop items can be bought in the games’ Auction Houses and they let to trade in game coin for cash shop coin, there’s usually ripe opportunity to make lots of in game coin if you’re willing to play the economy.

Now I’m going to have to give actually an A-Bomb to Magicmann for giving an A-Bomb to Curt Schilling and 38 Studios without knowing all the facts. http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/169444/38_Studios_Downfall_The_Gamasutra_Report.php . I’m not saying there’s no blame to be had on Curt Schilling’s part, but there’s obviously a lot more going on than just him.

However I am going to have give a Da-Bomb to Epic Games for picking up a lot of the Big Huge Games people and forming Epic Baltimore with them.

Also one more thing. The current developers of Mythos are not the guys behind it originally and putting their name on the current state of disgrace that is Mythos is almost worthy of an A-Bomb, at least an A-Grenade. The people who originally worked on it are the people that are now Runic Games, the IP was again lost in the whole Flagship Studios clusterfrack mentioned earlier.

Anyways, great show and cannot wait for the live session again! Hopefully you’ll pick some games to play that currently do not require beta keys. If you could, announce what games you want to play the episode before so we’ll have some time to download them!

    • Hi Edge!
Awwww….I get an A-Bomb? lol oh well. Keep in mind that the show was actually recorded May 26th and the employees didn’t come forward yet. BUT I was honest that we didn’t have all the details yet and there was probably more going on ๐Ÿ™‚ Oh well…I’ll man up and take my A-Bomb ๐Ÿ™‚

Hmmm…and A-grenade…that could be interesting. Great Post! Thanks so much for watching! ๐Ÿ™‚

  8. my favirit company would have to be nexon because they have so many good titls
maplestory , alliance of valiant arms , etc

  9. U CAN ONLY KILL KING LEORIC ON THE DEMO U DIDNT EVEN FINISH THE FIRST PARTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT… and thats my rage fit gone ๐Ÿ˜€ but yea amazing commentary again ๐Ÿ˜€ raiderz im interested ๐Ÿ˜€ and WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO dota 2! yes it is a TF2 style of DOTA ๐Ÿ˜› i think it might be crazy successful.

For the Question of the Week:
I got a few… since i play TF2 and DOTA2 i got to give it to value that truly did the real work for a PURE free 2 play (not pay 2 win) with the good trading policy in it as well and all the stuff having no real effect (okay TF2 the guns but u can craft everything if u really wanted) so yea big shout out to them for doing that right!

    I got a question for u guys.
Im guessing u guys were big wow players during vanilla WOW (pre TBC watever u wanna call it) wat could companies do to make their game that enjoyable that it could attack that huge crowd (yes also for the f2p market since its only growing every bigger in size)…. i think they kinda POOPED it up with these current expansions and stuff (IMO) (if u think the game is fine give me ur reasons maybe other companies could follow that? ๐Ÿ˜› )

Awesome show keep up the good work + wats the song at the end i really wanna know ๐Ÿ˜€

    • Havoc, Magickman, you better watch out for sharp objects while walking down the stairs after you just insulted my favorite classes, The ranged/Melee DPS, and the Rouge…..why….ANYWAY! the question of the week answer from me is that Perfect world mainly because i was thinking about my dream game a few days ago…An action MMORPG in a persistent world WITHOUT all of the instance crap….yes…. THANK YOU PERFECT WORLD!!!!!!!!
