  1. This whole aion expansion segment was a total waste of time. The same old biased the games grindy. Every mmo is grindy. And aion isnt grindy at all. At launch it was the easiest to max lvl to 50. All you had to do was kill elite mobs. Later on they got rid of elite xp rewards outside instances so it actually got worse somewhat. if you were trying to lvl on quests you were doing it wrong. Archeage is by fast the most pointlessly grindy games. Lving by quests in that game is also rediculously long compared to just lvling a little bit each day with 12k labor. But beyond that archeage has no point to pvp. And yeah thats what it leads to. Even after some people get like max lvl in aion with xp scroll and soloing instances in like 3-7 days sometimes It’s still the same bull grind you find in any mmo. Probably why these guys after 7 years when an expansion comes out all they have to talk about is some lvl 20 review that doesn’t even talk about the title. Fake journalists can’t even do a little bit of research. When it gets to the us all the update stuff is already known because it releases like 3-6 months before in korea. And there’s plenty of real gamer designed websites that talk about all that information. So yeah f you hate the inevitable gear grind and open world pvp against people that put in more time into their virtual life job then maybe you can’t grasp the concept of any mmo. And wow’s combat is also very dated. I can’t even believe the idea of trying to compare aion to one of the thousand grinder chinese lowbudget grinder games. And aion skills are still far superior then like any mmo. And all those “action games” are just simplified to basically one button spaming like tera or 4 button guild wars.

I was gonna hop into tera again, as it sounded a bit fun when you talked about it… then realized that I can’t play it through steam, so… not gonna. I will probably never play it again. :/

Considering STEAM is a steaming pile of dung. I fail to see the problem. Steam has been hacked thousand times over. Runs a private casino inside (the “unlockable” stuff to trade). Just recently punished you for being F2P (you cant review, or use social features), and is over all OVER PRICED (any game shop online undercuts them by at least 5 dollars). I have always used the client from the website (where you are usually redirected). So stop failing and get in game.

Tera may be back tracking on the server, some news today about steam region locking the game for RU and EU so they’ll be loosing those players unless they want to play the stand alone client

Typical, rettled out this response and you covered it a few minutes later.

Might aswell go with the question of the week, if it is publisher disputes it’s not really supprising given how bad the EU servers are in camparrison to the US, but all they do is irritate players that may be locked out(and they can do retroactive region locks if they are pushed to it)

But really, the US standalone client is not region locked and even then there are VPN’s

All i can see this doing is loosing steam custom and loosing gameforge customers

LEarn to read. That is STEAM that is being monotized through greed. IF you were in EU or the RU you were getting shafted through Failforge. US always had the better client (along with AION). Steam is just a new publisher to divide and conquer fans. Skip it if you can, and play direct from publishers website (something they actually mention in the official news of this…again, you read PART of the plan). All in all, if you can boost connection to play in US, go to enmasse direct and skip the EU mess. Sad Steam thought it would be cool to fiddle our faddles hoping you slide your card info in their system instead of Failforge lol. Derpin it to the bank

Gameforce (the shitty publisher of TERA in the EU) did this because they fear that most of eu players will migrate to the far superior tera us version. Now everybody who has a brain will go to tera us, fuck gameforge.
