On this week’s show, Path of Exile 2 is on the move but won’t be here until next year while the original gets a new league, Super Mecha Champions is a “could be good” game ruined by lazy development and horrid monetization, and there’s weird news about Twitch, cotton, and lootboxes. All that and more on this week’s Free to Play Cast!

  1. Da-Bomb to GW2 and their Super Adventure Festival event – I’ve just jumped back into the game after a long time away and this event may be one of my favorite MMO events ever. In fact, it’s put me back on the GW2 hype and I’m now playing daily !

A-Bomb to CSGO – The game has been running for 11 years and yet we still don’t have 128 tick servers or a viable method of anti-cheat/cheating deterrent. I’ve personally invested over 1000 hours in the game but I won’t play competitive match making again until they can guarantee a smooth experience and finally deal with the influx of hackers.

QoTW: Warframe. it’s not because I don’t think the game deserves my money. Rather, the game never makes me feel like I have to put money into it. I’ve gained numerous premium items via in-game grinding or giveaways and have never felt the urge to front cash for a prime frame… I’ll just get it later for free at some point 🙂

  2. QoTW : Perfect World i used to play that game a lot back in the day but i refused to give a dime to them because of the monetization shenanigans perfect world as a company still does to this day am i right Mike? how’s it going with Neverwinter?
