I’d just like to give a Da-Bomb to FFXIV for NOT having loot boxes. Also a Da-Bomb to MMO Bomb for doing what you do as journalists in this genre to continue the discussion and speak out about it. It’s not good for the genre, the industry, or our culture for that matter. Keep up the good fight, you guys are great.

In addition, the update also brings with it UI upgrades, an enhanced tutorial system, and more. The game is completely free-to-play and starts new players out with more than 200 cards to get them started. It also offers them a choice of five different deck themes.

More information on the PlayStation 4 update can be found on the HEX site.

Last week during Orionid Meteor Shower I made a wish for Bless Online to be a great game.

Hahhaha Troy Vs Bless hahahaha I died at “… something fresh…” hahhaa.
Da-Bomb: …to this week’s show I effin laughed hard and also Da-Bomb to MTG Arena I’m looking forward to it. A-Bomb to lootboxes, I mean #LetLootBoxesDie.
QotW: #1 EA+Activision+WB+Ubisoft = No in-game store would ever work… from bad matchmaking to underhanded shady deals, your front store page would always be some orc rubing his hands together (where have I seen that before?).
#2 Digital Extremes + From Software = I think that by mixing Soul’s type of gameplay with DE’s community management and open mindedness would produce one of the biggest online titles of this decade.
#3 Bioware + D&D(Wizards of the Coast) = Probably one of the greatest storytelling games that would actually could come out ever (just don’t do it online).
#4 Blizzard(original) + GGG = Do a damn great new and fresh take on MMO sandbox and make it an open world ARPG we deserve it by now.
#5 SquareEnix + 2K + Bethesda = We need something to make our brains work while we can be relaxed and what’s better than an XCom meets Final Fantasy Tactics with an apocalyptic setting of Fallout 2? Now get it done. 🙂

Da-bomb to Warlinator ‘tanking’ (that’s warlock + dominator for the RIFT illiterate). I had two instances of this while leveling in dungeons. In the first, the tank was so terrible (as in not even trying, I don’t care if you’re new, but don’t just stand around while stuff beats on everyone else) that we kicked him. The chloro healer threw the required buff on me and we finished the rest of the dungeon (which was most of it) thusly. In the second case, the tank we had was new, but was actually making an effort. Once again we had a chloro healer, and everytime we had a group of mobs instead of one it all ended up on me, so… yeah healer ended up swapping the buff to me with each group. I guess my damage must be decent at least. Fear me! /flex.

“Whales Hate Loot Boxes” ha ha O.K.

That’s what you get for throwing money blindly at everything. Just wait till timed items become more popular. Got that shiny new item from the loot box, ohh wait you can only use it for the next 24 hours. Better yet, you can only use it 5 times before it breaks.

This is why lootboxes, RNG and microtransactions are such a major part of games nowadays. Morons with more money than sense and companies have realised that these people can be milked dry. while everybody else suffers.
