to bad it resets every 4 days

    • TheAuger on November 12, 2012

CoS does not reset between Beta dates. There will only be a character wipe if a “major” overhaul is needed. They are just doing CB in blocks so that they can get & use player feedback to improve or fix the game during CB.

I am an Alpah Tester and i cant believe they are having packs from $10 up to $500 like what the heck?! XD. I bet there will be like 3 names on the statue in Nexus for the people who bought that pack. The $500 one.

There were at least 5 Paragons ($500 Pack) before the Last Alpha weekend was over, and since then there have been more.

This game is crap. One of the worst games I’ve played in a while… Also it’s a browser game… Makes it even worse. But thanks MMOBOMB for getting us keys.

I don’t care what others think, opinions are like ass holes, every one has one. lolz. I think think this game is gonna be awesome once it goes in to full swing. Besides isn’t REQUIEM & RUNES OF MAGIC a browser based game as well. I know it looks a hell of a lot better than most client based games i downloaded in the past year. Hope the chat & party finding in the social panel are good. Don’t wanna feel like i am playing alone.

With requiem u mean Requiem:Bloody Mary? are u sure that is browser based? i had to downlad besides those games were turned browser based but they were client based, and still RoM looks and runs quite fine on a medium pc.

Yeah but ROM SUCKS! This game is gonna be awesome.I know they were a client based game & went to browser. But i think this game is gonna be way better.

Actually Requiem: Memento Mori launched for download and browser play. The browser graphic were a bit buggy for me, but that could have just been because of a slow connection.

Why are people complaining abut others donating to the game. They need to make money some how & the developers need to get paid. If it was on kick starter it would be the same thing.

I personally have talked to the dev of this game and have played it. Its really fun and the devs are working hard day and night to keep everyone happy i think its worth a try!

  16. Cos_Andrew on November 16, 2012

A dev here, yes, we do work day and night (evidenced here). With just a few hours left until we go live!
Yes, we do need money to live… and coffee, coffee is good. (http://imgur.com/TgLQF)

City of Steam is actually tiny. 3mb before you see something awesome. Give it a try, it doesn’t disappoint.

We’ll be around the game as well so don’t hesitate to ask anyone who has a CoS icon above their character name.

Ha, yeah… key delivery problem so keys were up here first.. ooops.

    Enjoy!

Too bad you all won’t give it a try. I was there the first day of Beta testing, and it is an amazing game. The graphics are top notch, the classes and races are awesome and the game play – blew me away.

Played it for like 30 minutes, the music is great and the concept is unique. I am pleased with the interface and the interaction with the environment is pretty surprising for a browser based game. Though, the issues are noticeable, the cursor movement delays for like 0.2 seconds, unpleasant looking backpack and graphics..but it’s a browser based game so it’s not surprising and and it is still in close beta. In my overall opinion, they could have done a better job with this unique game and should have created this as a client based game for better performance and graphics. Lack of budget maybe? Oh well, I’m gonna wait for Open Beta and play it again and see if there’s an actual improvement.

I love this so much, it has amazingly beautiful graphics and it doesn’t lag up your computer. My PC broke, so I had to dig up my 6yr old laptop while the other one was in repairs. With the settings turned down, it played nicely with about 20-30 fps. What is pretty darn good for that laptop :D
The only thing that I saw was wrong, was that the client was too small? Don’t get me wrong, it was pretty big, but some of the menus didn’t fit into the client screen. But this is beta, so I’m sure they will fix it soon. It might as well be my computer.. :D
This is surely a keeper. :)

Amazing game, and it fits in a browser. Only thing it needs is of course a client enlargement so the UI actually fits, and it needs a return to character select function. I hate logging off, logging back in, waiting for the game to load up just to switch characters.
