World Of Warcraft Update 9.2 Date Announcement

In just twelve days, World of Warcraft players will be able to travel to the land of Zerith Mortis and explore the origins of all that exists in the Shadowlands. Today, Blizzard announced that Patch 9.2, The Eternity’s End update, will go live on February 22.

As always, the arrival of new content means saying goodbye to some of the current goings-on. In this case, Shadowlands Season 2 will be coming to a close at 10:00 pm Pacific on February 21. After this point, PvP rewards, titles, and the like will no longer be obtainable.

Mythic+ will come to a close with the start of maintenance on Feb 22. At this time the ratings that meet the requirements for the “Tormented Hero” title will be recorded so that it may be awarded to the appropriate players after the season ends. The devs suggest not changing factions until after the title has been received. It’s also worth noting that once the season comes to an end, they will host an offseason where players can still queue and earn rewards, just without the benefit of showing up on the leaderboards.

Note: Activision Blizzard is still under investigation by the state of California for serious harassment charges. CEO Bobby Kotick is alleged to have known about such actions within his company – and performed some himself – and shielded the perpetrators from consequences.
