PSO2 NGS 2024 Roadmap First Half

Yesterday, the team behind Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis revealed what’s next for the MMORPG.

During the “NGS Headline” livestream, the ongoing Super Genesis Festival was highlighted — featuring the 2.5th-anniversary campaign with daily free SG scratch tickets. The event also includes boost campaigns for limited-time quests, festive decorations in Central City and RAM City starting from January 1, 2024, and a limited-time test in creative spaces to earn Genesis points. Then the Winter 2024 event, beginning on January 10, offers increased exchange quantities for items, limited-time and title tasks, and a new quest involving a giant mutant Yeti.

In early 2024, high ranks will be added to the Kavaris region — raising the class level cap to 85 and introducing the base Kavaris theme to creative space come January 31, 2024. Further developments include story quests, expansions for the Ranger and Gunner classes, dual quests phase 4, and the introduction of limited-time quests with high difficulty versions. These are all slated for February.

Later on in the year, there’s collaborations with virtual livers of Nii Sanji, the Seven Deadly Sins anime, and a popular science fiction anime. Anniversary events, dual quests phase 5, and a new action system for battle are also planned.
