World of Warcraft Classic Hardcore PTR

If you're looking for the thrill that permadeath brings, World of Warcraft Classic will soon have the good stuff you're looking for. Today Blizzard announced the full details for the Hardcore servers that are coming to World of Warcraft Classic, and of course with it comes permadeath.

Permadeath means just that, no potion, spell, or item can bring you back if you die. This includes Shaman reincarnation and Warlock soul stones. Likewise, Paladins will not be able to bubble hearth out of danger. After death, you will persist as a ghost on the MMORPG's realm so you can handle any logistics such as handing over guild lead. Once you've finished taking care of any business you'll be able to transfer your character to a non-hardcore server.

Players will not automatically be flagged for PvP if they accidentally hit a flagged player, and battlegrounds are completely disabled. Some quests that would cause players to become flagged have been updated. You can however, choose to challenge other players to a duel to the death.

Most creatures will leash back to their starting location once a player leaves their area, so no more pulling big bads into Stormwind. The 16 debuff and 32 buff limits have been removed on World of Warcraft Classic Hardcore servers.

World of Warcraft Classic Hardcore servers will have a strict no-tolerance policy when it comes to gameplay, zone disruption, and malicious player killing outside of consensual PvP according to Blizzard.

World of Warcraft Classic Hardcore will be available on the Public Test Realms so you can check it out before the servers go live. You can read the full releas on World of Warcraft Classic Hardcore on the game's official blog.

Note: Activision Blizzard has been sued by California’s Civil Rights Department, alleging violations of California’s Fair Employment and Housing Act and Equal Pay Act. CEO Bobby Kotick is alleged to have known about the alleged violations within his company. These allegations have all been denied by Activision Blizzard and the company points to additional diversity and inclusion training as past examples of taking the accusations seriously at the time they were made.
