HAWKED Introducing Cross-Play With Incoming Open Beta For PS4 And PS5
There's no cross-progression though.
Cross-play is best play.
Following a PC Open Beta, MY.GAMES is introducing cross-play for HAWKED. The free online PvPvE extraction shooter will be available from August 31 to September 4 on PlayStation 4 and 5, in addition to PC. Also, Open Beta offers players a Renegade Pass with exclusive cosmetics — although cross-progression isn't supported between platforms, progress from the previous Beta will carry over.
"Feedback from the first OBT was incredibly helpful to us and it helps us shape the product, this crossplay OBT is another step in that process,” said Executive Producer Andy Duthie. “We're also very keen on seeing how PlayStation players will like the game and weaving all player feedback into HAWKED is a core part of our development process.”
In case you weren’t aware, the game centers on teams of three players competing to collect and extract valuable Artifacts from the remote island of X-Isle. The players, known as Renegades, must navigate challenges such as battling monsters, outsmarting other players, solving puzzles, and avoiding traps to secure these coveted Artifacts. The first team to successfully extract Artifacts claims victory.
Players can also gather smaller treasures and currency to enhance their characters, and the game features character customization through apparel pieces, hairstyles, and colors. Aside from that, players can equip gear for passive bonuses, and use tools like boomerangs, deployable covers, and scouting falcons.
