If You’re One Of Those That Was Guessing Sea Of Thieves Would Be Making Its Way To PlayStation 5, Get Yourself A Cookie
You were right.
Well, that didn’t take long. Phil Spencer may not have been keen on announcing the Xbox-related IPs that would be making their way to PlayStation during the last Xbox stream, but that obviously wasn’t because he wanted to make people wait for a long time to find out. He noted then that the developers of each of the games had the announcements and promotions planned out, he just didn’t want to take the fun away from them.
It will come as little surprise to most players that one of the games being teased was, in fact, Sea of Thieves. Most players had guessed as much and it just makes good sense. We really only had to wait a few days for Rare to make the official announcement and prove everyone correct.
The pirate game is scheduled to hit PlayStation 5 on April 30. It will launch with the upcoming Season 12 update. In the meantime, players can begin wishlisting the game on the PS5 tomorrow. Full details on the launch can be found on the Sea of Thieves site.
There's also a few other titles finally confirmed, but since they aren't multiplayer, we'll toss you to our friends at Push Square for more!
