New World Update Finally Introduces The Expedition Group Finder System...As Basically A Bulletin Board
Think the party finder in Final Fantasy XIV.
Amazon dropped a small patch for New World last night, introducing some general tweaks to the game. There were some combat and AI changes, general world fixes, and adjustments to expeditions.
Likely the most significant thing would be the introduction of a group finder. The idea is to offer players an alternative to Recruitment Chat when trying to find groups for Expeditions. The solution is a system that allows players to browse listings created by other players or, if they don’t see what they need, create their own for others to join. For those who play Final Fantasy XIV, it sounds very much like the MMO’s Party Finder system. Group Finder can be accessed one of two ways, either via the Expedition Entrance or the map icon.
As for other Expedition changes, the update fixed an issue with the Expedition "Barnacle & Black Powder" that caused Nereid to get stuck in a tornado and block progress. The combat and AI changes noted in the patch notes are a fix to sword & shield weapons that caused Defiance Stance to give a smaller damage reduction increase than intended and the addition of additional protections in Outpost Rush.
