Resourceful Halo Infinite Players Have Found A Way To Add Split-Screen Co-Op
Who would have thought that players would have to glitch a feature that should've been included.
Fans have not been too happy since they found out that Halo Infinite would not be getting local multiplayer. In all honesty, it is hard to remember a time that 343 Industries produced anything but a disappointment for players lately.
Thankfully, despite the split-screen local co-op being canceled, players have taken it upon themselves to fix the issue. One player Zeny_IC, as reported by EuroGamer, stumbled upon a menu glitch that permits them to add up to three additional local co-op players to their system. All you will need is an Xbox Series S or X, a friend online, and this helpful video tutorial by HaloCreation.
1. First, go to the campaign menu and load a save
2. Next, click "Play" and get ready to quickly go to your friend list
3. As soon as "loading map" appears, go to your friend list and join a friend who's idling in the menus
4. After joining, you can then leave the fireteam
5. In the custom lobby, under server, select "Offline"
6. You can now connect your other controllers and profiles
7. Click "Play" and enjoy the split-screen
As of now, there are no crashes in cutscenes, or issues with AIs, etc., explains HaloCreation. Again, as this is a workaround, who knows if this menu glitch will be patched by 343 in the following days.
