ScreenPlay, A F2P Card Game, Ties Deckbuilding And Movie Making Into A "Multiple Win Conditions" Competition

Sure, it may look similar to Hearthstone, but adding the movie-making theme is a neat variance.

Sure, we're talking about yet another F2P digital card game in the post-Hearthstone era. That said, though, ScreenPlay may be one you want to check out. In fact, a demo is already up on Steam and the CCG from Comico Games is headed into early access in less than 2 weeks on May 13th, and this may be one you want to try out. All demo progress will carry over into early access.

ScreenPlay has a few things going for it that really pull me into wanting to try it. First, as the name implies, the card game is tied in with movies. You pick 3 "leads" (i.e. heroes), each representing a different way to win the match, and your 40-card deck is your "cast". The movie gimmick runs throughout the game in animations, abilities, and overall comedic presentation.

Second, turns are taken simultaneously, similar to Marvel Snap. Lock in what you want to do, (read: how you want the movie scene to play out), and watch it all happen at once.

ScreenPlay will include AI boss matches, multiplayer tournaments, cosmetic and pack purchaes via a cash shop, and new expansions are planned for release every three months.
