Surprising No One, Epic Confirms Fortnite Will Make Its Way To Next-Gen Consoles
This likely won't come as a surprise to any of us -- after all, it only makes sense -- but Fortnite will, in fact, make its way to next-gen consoles. It will apparently be available at launch, even.
This less-than surprising news comes direct from Epic Games who dropped a general announcement on the game's website today. The post also included a few answers to those burning questions we're all sure to have -- like whether or not this is a new game and whether or not progression from the currently existing version of the game will carry over. Answers: it'll be the same game everyone's playing now, just modified to work on improved hardware... And, current plans are to provide cross-progression support across console generations. So, don't worry, you shouldn't lose your stuff.
For those of us not planning on picking up a new console right away. Don't worry about that either. Epic plans to coninue supporting the current generation of consoles as well.
