Solution to lag.
« on: February 10, 2012, 06:22 PM »
I tried this for my newly bought game, Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine, and the lag from the multiplayer VANISHED instantly.

http://www.spacemarine.com/forums/topic/5413

This works, because I tried to delete C++ 2005 AND 08, but it lagged even more.  Then I reinstalled 08 with the link he provided, and omg it worked wonders.  I am SOO happy right now.  Even BF3 works fine without lag when it was before!  I'm gonna try APB R now with this lag fix.  Hopefully it works so I can play with you guys.  I'm speechless on how well it works...

He says the somehow, even though it BARELY takes up space, there are obvious signs that it has a great effect when removing it.  I don't know if this works with all games, but I know it works for mine.

OMG...just came back from APB R...Guess what...NO LAG WOO!!

This is how i did vs a team of some golds ^^!

And this is me

lool blue spy from TF2...

And this is something I did by accident...One of the weirdest car flips even done I think...

Basically, what happened was that someone ran into me, I flipped into the air (like you see SOMETIMES on rare occasions), and I hit the building and it landed like that...lol derp...

Ok, I just found something weird, and probably annoying.  Everytime you launch APB R, it's gonna re-install the C++ 2005 thingy over and over again.  Just uninstall it every time and you should be fine.

This way's more affective...I tried uninstalling PMB before trying this...Barely saw a difference in lag...

That means you have a bunch of Peer to Peer programs leeching your stuff then haha. Hate free2play because of them.

Warhammer 40k Space Marine is the ONLY game that is Peer to Peer on my computer -.-...Don't state "facts" you don't know to be true.  Wolfteam's peer to peer which makes it MAJORLY infamous.  Peer to Peer + hacker community = A game for children who like to do nothing but cheat and have no fun.

I doubt Warhammer 40k would use a Peer to Peer program

Are you that stupid Bob?  Warhammer 40k is peer to peer.  I looked up on forums and have seen even the THQ STAFF says it is -.-.  Why the fk would I say it's peer to peer now, when I could have called ALL the other games peer to peer, but I didn't.

Just try the damn thing.  If you don't like the result, he has the links to re-install the C++ 2005, 08, and 10 stuff.

I believe Warhammer 40k uses P2P through its multiplayer, and not in the way it is downloaded. :P

So I clicked this topic kinda interested..and its for windows..All well, I can use it on my Windows partition later.

Anyway, a lot of this stuff honestly feels like common sense but  I guess its a decent link to save for future reference.

Anyway, its honestly amazing how many games use P2P for games even Wargamer European Escalation, Call of Duty(Which would be good if they returned too dedis) and many other major games use peer to peer exchange.

There are two different "peer to peers". One is for downloading data and another is for hosting matches. Call of Duty does have dedicated servers by the way.
