Wizard101 Events

Well, this has to be one of the easiest ways to earn rewards in an in-game event. During the Spiral Scene event in Wizard101, players can pick from a selection of goodies simply by visiting houses on the castle tour and rating them. Of course, there are some daily assignments and other activities as well.

Reward-wise, players are looking at picking up items like the Professor’s Hoard Pack, Mega Snacks, Jewels, and Reagents among other things. They will need to hurry, however, as the event only runs a week, ending on May 1.

Once that ends another event – Beastmoon Hunt – Heap – will follow. During this, players will dress up in a beast form and join other players to fight in PvP matches. Details are available on the Wizard101 monthly event page.

Getting people to log in wiz101 is a major problem. We run three guilds each with varying teirs of membership. We ran a poll on discord last month after we noticed continual declines in the amount of times people logged in. Inter-guild polls list lack of support as the main reason people are leaving. The once-a-month log-in is common. The examples in the discussion included screenshots of emails received from KI support staff. A few notable examples included a guy getting a warning for the language filter. Something about using a different language on a US server. He petitioned support asking why he got a warning and rather than uphold the warning they sanctioned his account shortly thereafter. Another teleported to a guild member in a world she hadn't unlocked and was banned for "exploits". She apologized stating she didn't know it was an exploit and the email she received back from kingsisle support stated simply: "We're glad you are sorry, but the sanctions will remain in place. We suggest you find another form of entertainment."

That's hard to argue. Especially when it's just not stories from one person its screenshots. While I think the poll was helpful it wasn't really helpful. The screenshots hurt everyone and as much as we shouldn't allow complaints on our forums we're not going to crap on our members. We're here to support everyone. We're not Kingsisle.

I think we're long overdue for a migration elsewhere. It really has begun to feel like a job and I already have one of those I hate.
