Free-to-Play Naval Battler GunFleet Hits Steam Early Access
With World of Warships doing as well as it is, it's no surprise that more game developers are looking to get their own wet-and-wild action onto PCs. War Thunder's naval battles are in beta, and now there's a new challenger for dominance of the high seas: Areo Gaming's GunFleet.
Like War Thunder, GunFleet focuses on smaller, quicker vessels rather than hulking battleships and aircraft carriers like Warships. Submarines are also on the prowl, and some ships even utilize indirect fire, similar to artillery in World of Tanks. In all, there are over 40 different vessels representing four nations, "inspired by the different countries' mosquito fleets of the First and Second World Wars."
Matches are 7v7 affairs, spanning 15 maps and consisting of a variety of different game modes. You can learn more about GunFleet on its website or download it now via Steam.
