Marvel's Avengers Ending Official Support

Crystal Dynamics will end all official support for Marvel's Avengers on September 30th, 2023. Before that happens, the game will launch its last new content patch on March 31st this year.

After that update, players won't see any new content or features added to Marvel's Avengers, and eventually, no further support after September. After official support ceases, the single- and multi-player gameplay experience will still be available, but the game will basically be dead soon after.

Alongside the end of development, Crystal Dynamics aims to turn off the cosmetics Marketplace, making Credits no longer purchasable. Players with remaining Credit balances will have their resources converted into in-game materials like DNA Keys and Units. The devs uploaded a table detailing the conversions on their announcement post via Marvel's Avengers website.

Starting March 31st, Crystal Dynamics will also make the game's Marketplace, Challenge Card, and Shipment cosmetic content available to all players for free. That includes every single Outfit, Takedown, Emote, and more brought to the game.

Marvel's Avengers' end was speculated in December of last year, judging from the many issues with the game. Crystal Dynamics says the decision to end support for Marvel's Avengers "was made in conjunction with [their] partners," who believed it was the "right time to make this change."
