Outbreak: Dead Island: Epidemic Closed Beta Begins, New Screenshots Unveiled
Zombie outbreaks never start out large, they build. Like a game which begins with a small group of alpha testers, Zombie outbreaks start out small, but the unending hunger for more drives zombies to seek out new sources of fresh meat. As far as outbreaks go, Deep Silver's ZOMBA (Zombie Online Multiplayer Battle Arena), Dead Island: Epidemic, is still on the small side, manageable but in search of more. Having been in closed alpha for the past several months, the ZOMBA was recently upgraded to closed beta, allowing additional players to join in smacking zombies about with makeshift weapons.
Dead Island Epidemic aims to differentiate itself from similar titles by offering the ability to craft your own weapons along with both PvP and PvE enemies to contend with. Three groups of four will battle for control over precious supply drops while having random encounters with the living dead. Depending on the situation, teams may find it advantageous to group up in order to tackle waves of Zombies, especially when special "boss" style zombies appear.
Players can signup for the closed beta by visiting the official site here.
