Overwatch 2 Season 5

Season 5 in Overwatch 2 is bringing the role-playing vibes with new challenges, game modes, skins, and more as part of a high-fantasy theme.

Tracer and her friends are setting out on an epic roleplaying adventure called Questwatch, and as you progress through the Season 5 battle pass in Overwatch 2 you will unlock new chapters in their adventure. Also in the Premium battle pass is the Mythic Adventurer skin for Tracer.

Coming to the game is the first-ever creator-made game mode in Overwatch 2 called Defeat the Demon Lord. Four heroes will take on the Demon Lord Reinhardt in a 1v4 team Deathmatch brawl.

Fun is the Sun returns with Lucioball, and a new game mode called Winston's Beach Volleyball. Lucioball is a 3v3 sports game where players work to score with a gigantic soccer ball. Winston's Beach Volleyball will have you running, jumping, and spiking a giant volleyball scoring when the ball hits the sand.

The Overwatch 2 devs are also planning for the Season 5 balance patch, as well as making changes to weekly challenges. On August 4th they'll be unveiling an all-new animated short exclusively in the game client.

There's a ton of content ahead for Overwatch 2 and you can check out the full preview on the official Overwatch 2 site.

Note: Activision Blizzard has been sued by California’s Civil Rights Department, alleging violations of California’s Fair Employment and Housing Act and Equal Pay Act. CEO Bobby Kotick is alleged to have known about the alleged violations within his company. These allegations have all been denied by Activision Blizzard and the company points to additional diversity and inclusion training as past examples of taking the accusations seriously at the time they were made.
