Wayfinder Launches Into Early Access On PC And PlayStation Next Month
Players who jump in before the official launch will get instant access to the new character: Venomess.
Wayfinder, an online action RPG developed by Airship Syndicate and Digital Extremes, is set to launch into Early Access on PC and PlayStation on August 15.
The game introduces a new character named Venomess, a deadly assassin, and offers various Founder's Packs, in-game housing systems, and a Battle Pass alternative called the Reward Tower. Players can unlock exclusive rewards and benefits during Early Access.
"Early Access is a huge milestone for the entire studio,” said Joe Madureira, the game’s creative director. “It's incredibly exciting that this truly is the start."
To join the adventure in Wayfinder, players can purchase Founder's Packs in different tiers, each granting access to two Early Access seasons and unique rewards. These rewards include instant access to Venomess and the "Heroic" version of the warmage Kyros, which is exclusive to Early Access. Additionally, Wayfinder's interactive Reward Tower allows players to earn various seasonal customizations and cosmetic enhancements.
“We've run quite a few incredibly successful beta tests with thousands of players around the world,” said Steve Madureira, the game director. “Those tests gave us great insight and we've made some awesome changes based on player feedback for Early Access. We plan to continue that trend so we have a solid foundation going into our full Free-to-Play release.”
Players can also experience Wayfinder at upcoming global gaming events such as Gamescom, PAX West, and NYCC, where they have the opportunity to play the game, meet the team, and win exclusive merchandise.
