New Trailer Drops For The Adorable And Kinda Violent Open-World Game Palworld
But Nintendo might have something to say about it.
If you’ve ever said to yourself, “I really need a game where I play with adorable Pokemon-like creatures, but they do things like work in factories make weapons (in addition to more chill activities such as exploring the world),” then Pocketpair’s Palworld might be for you.
It’s described as a “multiplayer, open-world survival crafting game where you can befriend and collect mysterious creatures” known as “Pals.” The creatures can do anything from building and farming to fighting and working in factories, and they can be bred to meet the requirements needed for these activities. I’m not sure what you have to do to breed a Pal that can build a spaceship, but apparently it’s doable.
Cuteness and intriguing concept aside, there’s something else we noticed about Palworld. Mostly, the critters in question might remind people of Pokemon – although Jason did refer to some in a picture I sent him as “car-gun-kles” and it’s pretty accurate. As for the capturing method, the video does show players shooting Pals with projectile weapons, but, you’ll also notice the ones that are caught have a ball thrown at them.
