Remote Part-Time Freelance Entry Level
Position: MMOBomb - Video Game Staff Writer (Remote/Freelance)
MMOBomb.com (Digiwalls Media), a leading multiplayer video game reporting website, is looking to add a news and editorial writer/video content creator to our team.
Responsibilities:
- ⦁ 3-4 News posts per day (Monday through Friday, with occasional editorial articles, large news or event pieces on weekends) as assigned by MMOBomb.com's Editor-in-Chief
⦁ Choosing appropriate photos to tie-in with news pieces
⦁ Ability to form opinions and clearly express those opinions based on a constantly changing environment
⦁ Creating interactive and informative pieces that encourage discussion and interaction with a multiplayer gaming audience
⦁ Pitch story ideas when none are readily available
⦁ Appearing often on the weekly video podcast "Always Online"
⦁ Occasional "First Look" video production for new titles
Requirements:
- ⦁ Must be available during typical business hours US East Coast time
⦁ Relevant writing experience in general gaming topics or multiplayer gaming
⦁ Flexible schedule
⦁ High attention to detail including grammar, spelling, and sourcing
⦁ Strong proficiency writing in the English language
⦁ Preference will be given to applicants that have camera and mic capabilities already to assist with video production and appearing on the weekly “Always Online” podcast
