Become Thanos And Wield The Infinity Gauntlet In The Limited Time Fortnite/Infinity War Crossover Event
When you drop into a battle royale game, the first thing you need to do is find some kind of gear. A gun, some armor, some food, the Infinity Gauntlet ... wait, what?
Fortnite: Battle Royale is arguably the biggest game in the world right at this moment. Avengers: Infinity War is the biggest movie in the world right now. So it makes sense that these two juggernauts would combine forces to make the biggest movie/video-game mashup in the world.

The "Infinity Gauntlet Limited Time Mashup" starts on May 8 on all platforms (PC, Mac, PS4, Xbox, and iOS) and will have 100 players fighting to the death, as usual. But alongside all the mundane gear, you can also find the Infinity Gauntlet, complete with all six Infinity Stones. Once acquired, you'll "transform into Thanos himself, wielding all the power that comes with him," according to Entertainment Weekly. Exactly what that means isn't specified, though it probably won't be good for about half of your opponents.
EW describes the co-directors of Infinity War, Joe and Anthony Russo, as big Fortnite fans, who played the game during breaks in filming. It's a wonder they managed to finish the movie.
