Deceive Inc Open Beta

Sweet Bandits Studios’ multiplayer spy game Decieve Inc. is scheduled to officially launch in less than two weeks, on March 21. Before that time comes, however, there’s one more thing to do – the obligatory open beta test. That begins today – across all available platforms. That’s Steam and the Epic Games Store on PC as well as the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X|S.

The open beta features cross-platform support, so don’t worry about whether or not you can test the game with your friends. Testers will be able to play over the weekend with the testing period coming to an end on March 13 at 11 a.m. Eastern. During this time, players will have access to all eight launch-day agents and the “Hard Sell” and “Fragrant Shore" maps. If you want to keep playing after that, you’re going to have to purchase the game.

To celebrate the open beta, the devs at Sweet Bandits Studios’ dropped a new developer diary. This one takes a look at the various characters and maps in the game. The devs discuss which are their favorites and why, and also talk about the importance of NPCs and the ability to conceal yourself in the environment.
