Embers Adrift Invites Players To Explore Newhaven For Free In June
If you’re curious about the game’s old-school aesthetics, now’s the time to experience them.

Stormhaven Studios is opening Embers Adrift, the MMO inspired by classic games like Everquest, up to everyone to try out for free for a few days. The weekend of June 2-4, curious gamers can hop into the game and explore the world of Newhaven. If you’ve yet to play any of the more classic, less on-rails games, then this is your chance.
Embers Adrift is a PvE-focused game that avoids quest hubs, minimaps, and the like. Rather, it expects players to discover quests as they travel around the world. Admittedly, there are other games that still do this, but at different scales.
The game features three base roles and nine specializations. It also offers players plenty of room to explore the world as they want, with huge zones and non-linear dungeons. Crafting and gathering fans can try out nine jobs in both areas during this trial as well.
To participate in the free weekend, players will need to create an account on the Embers Adrift site. Once that’s done, they just need to visit the site during the free weekend to download the game and play.
