Marvel Snap's Card Nerfs To Onslaught And Others May Happen To Black Panther Due To Busted 600,000 Power Combo
Besides taking forever, the combo accrues an absurdly high power level with the right cards in place.
From the patch notes on November 29 for Marvel Snap, Second Dinner revealed the latest update would slightly nerf popular cards like Angela and Onslaught, alongside debuting Collector's Tokens and Series 4 and 5 cards. While those nerfed cards contributed to a lot of great power combos, none comes close to Black Panther's busted over 600,000 power with the help of specific card combinations.
According to a Polygon post that clocked the absurd number, the reporter came across a player with Odin, Wong, Black Panther, and Ironheart cards alongside Onslaught's Citadel location. When their opponent played Odin on their final turn, each card within the play area with "on reveal" abilities reactivated, spurring Black Panther's doubling power when revealed and Ironheart's power buff to random teammates.
Making things a bit crazier is Wong's ability to re-active reveal abilities twice, which got doubled because of Onslaught's Citadel. With all these colliding abilities, Black Panther shot up to 689,730 power over a long animation loop of upgrading, outmatching everything in sight.
Black Panther's rise to power stardom with these particular cards may be up next for a nerf of some kind judging from what happened to recent ones. Notably, Onslaught's ability now stacks additively with effects rather than exponentially, limiting the very long turns of him boosting ongoing effects at a single location in specific card setups. Others, such as Angela, Destroyer, Mysterio, and Sera, saw power drops by one, but all cards still have their quirky abilities for tricky play combos.
To make up for the recent Collector's Caches/Reserves issues, we're sending the following:
-All players will receive 200 Gold, available in your Inbox for the next 2 weeks.
-Players who received no rewards, or got boosters from new Caches/Reserves will be able to re-open them.

Second Dinner has also addressed the issues with Collector's Caches/Reserves, sending all players 200 Gold available for the next two weeks. Fans can find the resource within their in-game Inbox. In addition, those who received no rewards or got boosters from new Caches/Reserves can re-open them for another go.
