MTG Arena To Launch On macOS Via Epic Games Store Thursday
You can't spell "Magic" without "Mac." Fittingly, in just a few days, Magic: The Gathering Arena enthusiasts who prefer macOS to Windows will be able to play the game on their system of choice.
On Thursday, June 25, Wizards of the Coast will release MTG Arena for macOS via the Epic Games Store, and you'll be able to log into your existing account to continue your progression there. Matches will be cross-platform and the play experience (and shop) should be no different than the experience on Windows machines.
The Epic Games Store was chosen for this release because "was the fastest way we could get a native, full-featured macOS client to our players," Wizards explained. There are currently no plans for a standalone macOS client. Learn more about MTG Arena's debut on macOS on the game's website.
