Get Colossal Announcement

Today, Publisher/Developer Glitch Hammer announced a new arena brawler for fans of big mechs. (I’m inclined to assume it's everyone. Who doesn’t like giant robots?) Get Colossal is described as “a party-style, family-friendly 2v2 brawler where players grow from human-sized to giant mechs”. All the while, they’re fighting it out in fully destructible environments, like the city seen in the video below.

Characters in Get Colossal have three sizes, ranging from “tiny human” to “large mech” to “oversized titan”. They all have their advantages, and players will work their way through the various sizes. During combat, the goal is to knock out the opponent, claim Quantum Cubes, and grow into the titan you were meant to be.

Of course, you can’t have giant mech fights without destroying things. So, players have four different cities to cause mayhem in. Everything in these maps is destructible. Buildings will crumble, and things will be crushed.

Choose one of eight playable characters and hop into either a 2v2 match, a 4-player free-for-all, or the single-play “Baddass” mode. In the final mode, you can fight anywhere between one and seven enemies.

Get Colossal doesn’t have a launch date just yet, but there is a playtest on the way. Those interested can sign up on the game’s Steam page for a chance to take part in the Alpha test on November 22 and 23. And yes, the game will be free-to-play.
