New World’s Latest Forged In Aeternum Video Takes A Look At Boss Design
Legacy bosses, favorite bosses, how bosses are made.
A new Forged in Aeternum video was dropped by the New World devs this morning discussing the game’s bosses. On the stream this time are AI Lead Chad Redwitz and AI Designer Patrick Smedley.
As is always the case with these videos, they begin with an overview of what they do and what goes into their particular area of development. From there they go on to talk about legacy bosses – and what they wish they could do to improve them, how they make fights fun, and the current boss fights.
Of course, there’s some discussion about which bosses are more difficult and the obligatory questions about the dev's personal favorite bosses. The stream is a smidge over twelve minutes long and can be watched below.
